(NEW) SNI Mandatory – Photovoltaic (PV) Module

To adjust to innovation development of science and technology in the renewable energy sector, and ensuring the safety, quality and consumer protection of user equipment Photovoltaic (PV) solar energy on the market, the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has stipulated regulation on the enforcement for Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for Photovoltaic (PV) Module – Crystalline Silicon through the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 2 of 2021.

According to the regulation, effective as of January 7, 2021, all Photovoltaic (PV) Module – Crystalline Silicon to be marketed in Indonesia are required to have SNI certificate according to SNI IEC 61215.

SNI Mandatory – Cooking Palm Oil (Minyak Goreng Sawit)

A new mandatory regulation under Indonesia Ministry of Industry (MoI) has recently released in regards to the Cooking Palm Oil.

I. The new regulation of Cooking Palm Oil (No. 46 year 2019) is mandatory to be implemented starting on January 1st, 2020.

II. Cooking Palm Oil shall be SNI certified according to SNI 7709:2019 with the HS code of 1511.90.36 ; 1511.90.37 and 1511.90.39

III. There are 2(two) options of certification scheme that can be choose by applicants:  (1) Type 5 Certification Scheme or (2) Type 4 Certification Scheme.

IV. Type 5 Certification Scheme is valid for 4 (four) years with the obligation of min. 1x audit and testing within 2 (two) years.

V. Type 4 Certification Scheme is valid for 2 (two) years with the obligation of min. 1x audit and testing within 1 (one) year.

VI. For imported Cooking Palm Oil, a local representative shall be required.
